PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER COURSE

Hone your dive skills and expand your diving knowledge with an Advanced Open Water Course. Designed to have you experience different types of diving, the course consists of five adventure dives. Two of these are required--deep diving and underwater navigation--but for the remaining three dives you select based on your personal interests. Choices include: underwater naturalist, peak performance buoyancy, night diving, wreck diving, drift diving, search and recovery, boat diving, or underwater photography. Please note that some dives, such as underwater photography, night or wreck diving, cost extra. The emphasis is on experience, not academics and most divers complete the course in three mornings of diving, or two mornings of diving and a night dive. The course fee includes all books and instruction.

BUOYANCY CLINIC

Always wanted to work on your buoyancy control and breathing? Learn to perfect your buoyancy and improve your breathing with skills with a buoyancy clinic. Working with an instructor you will learn techniques for controlling your buoyancy, improving your air consumption and skill as a diver. Clinic consists of two dives with an instructor.

Underwater rescue

PADI RESCUE DIVER CERTIFICATION

Learn the latest in-water rescue techniques and how to assist fellow divers and yourself in emergency situations. This two and a half day course consists of knowledge development through convenient home-study materials and performance-based training. Topics covered include self-rescue, diver stress, diving first aid, emergency management, equipment problems, and rescue/assistance procedures for both conscious and unconscious victims on the surface and underwater. The course is in two parts, the first focusing on Rescue Diving and the second on Emergency First Response including first aid and CPR training and certification. Course fees include diving, books and instruction.

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER COURSE

The EFR course is taught in conjunction with a Rescue class and offers basic instruction in first aid, CPR and other life-saving techniques. Although this is not a diving course, we do focus on water-specific rescue and emergency situations, as well as the basic first aid and CPR. This course usually satisfies all usual workplace requirements for First Aid and CPR certification and is valid for a period of (2) years.
